Our Clients have access to our personalized service to each individual client because clients matter to us. We also arrange private itineraries. This is done when you arrive to ensure that you get “all that you desire” from your stay with us. The atmosphere here at Taita Falcon Lodge is relaxed and informal. Your stay with us can be at as fast or slow a pace as you need.

Our Accommodation

We have 7 spacious chalets  and each incorporates its own private garden and outdoor shower. Our interior design aspires to a simple elegance. Our facilities are in tune with the natural bush surroundings. We however also ensure that all luxuries are catered for. Our chalets are extremely spacious and airy allowing for the cool breezes that blow up from the gorge to keep things cool year round. Each is well set apart from the other affording privacy, peace and quiet!

We can adapt each chalet to either a twin or double bedded room. Additional beds can be added to some of the rooms to accommodate families. All our beds have large walk in mosquito nets We also have hot water bottles for the winter months.

The natural environment and surroundings blend throughout the Lodge grounds. We have used only natural materials. The majority of our  furnishings have been made in the local village by local craftsmen. The gardens around the pool and central living area are a colorful blend of indigenous plants and flowers. Our gardens attract prolific bird life throughout the year

Activities

Taita Falcon Lodge is a birder’s paradise. We have a resident pair of Vereaux Eagle and Peregrine Falcons. We regularly sight Augur Buzzard, Snake, Fish and Hawk Eagles as well. The rare Taita Falcon also makes an appearance for the “lucky ones”! We do guided bush and bird walks around the Lodge and gorge. Various hiking trails range from 1 hour to 4 days. Livingstone and Victoria Falls offer a vast range of activities – and we can arrange for all of them. We  also offer transfers between these activities.

Our Food

Meals at Taita Falcon Lodge are sumptuous and varied. Our clients also have access to the option of  special dietary requirements. We serve meals either in the open sided dining area, on the viewing deck under umbrellas or under the stars, in the Boma. However, we can also arrange private dinners  in the client’s private gardens for special occasions. We also invite clients to either join a main table or feel free to have their own private table.

At Taita Falcon Lodge we serve breakfast throughout the morning allowing for the well deserved sleep in! A selection of fresh fruits, pastries and yogurt provides the “starter” to the individually prepared cooked breakfast. Our clients can have lunch either  as a picnic if clients are “out and about” or we can serve from the bar menu at the Lodge.  Our Dinner is a 3 course affair with light and dark meats which we serve each evening along with a selection of vegetables and salads.

Although the majority of our clients are couples, friends and families, we happily cater for groups and special occasions. An ideal beginning or ending to your African Safari – spend a few days taking in the natural wonder of the Victoria Falls and the many adventure activities that the region has to offer!!
