Hwange Safari Lodge
Hwange Safari Lodge is only 2 hours’ drive from Victoria Falls, a favourite with visitors from all over the world. Home to the world’s largest population of the African elephant, including the presidential herd, Hwange boasts an abundance of other wildlife including buffalo, lion, leopard and a host of other species. The prolific birdlife is a must see for the enthusiast with one of the world’s most diverse population of raptors.
The lodge caters for a diverse range of guests from the lone adventurer to couples, groups, families and tour groups. It offers comfort, modern conveniences and an opportunity to experience the real African wild. Don’t forget, a camera is a must!

6 Day 5 Nights Victoria Falls & Hwange
Day 1
You will be welcomed at Victoria Falls Airport, Kasane Airport or Livingstone Airport and transferred to Hwange National Park for your stay at Hwange Safari Lodge or similar Hwange Safari Lodges. After arrival and check-in visit the Painted Dog Conservation Center to witness the efforts to maintain the population of the almost extinct painted dogs. After the tour, the evening is at your leisure as you enjoy dinner around the fire under the African sky.

Day 2
Today we have an early start. You will wake up around 6am to have your breakfast before hopping onto to a 4×4 Game Drive Vehicle for a full day Game drive in Hwange National Park. You will have pre-packed lunch to enjoy at one of the picnic areas in Hwange National Park.
Explore Hwange National Park on a game drive with an experienced professional safari guide with the chance to see one of Africa’s most impressive elephant populations as well as wild dog, buffalo and over 400 species of bird.
Hwange National Park is Zimbabwe’s largest game park with an area of 14,600km². Its sheer size means that its scenery, vegetation and game vary hugely, ranging from the semi desert scrub on the edge of the Kalahari in the south, to forests, granite hills and valleys of Mopane woodlands in the north.
The national park is home to over 100 mammal species, including lion, leopard and rhino, and is known for its large population of elephant. The highest numbers of animals are spotted in the dry season (August to October) when the wildlife congregates around the shrunken water holes.
After the tour, the evening is at your leisure as you enjoy dinner around the fire under the African sky.

Day 3
After breakfast you will do visit the Painted Dog Conservation center if you did not visit on the day of arrival or else is transfer to Victoria Falls to explore the 7th Natural wonder of the world.
After check-in and relaxing get ready for an exciting evening where you will enjoy 4 course dinner on board the Malachite Dinner cruise as explore the upper Zambezi channels and islands. The Zambezi dinner cruise features sightings of the golden sunsets with an open bar and snacks, an array of wildlife on the banks of the river as well as plenty of water mammals including hippos and crocodiles.

Day 4
After breakfast at 8:30am you will be transferred to the Victoria Falls entrance for a Guided Falls Tour of the legendary Victoria Falls. Your guide will take you to all the viewing points; enlighten you on the history, culture, flora and fauna surrounding the mighty Victoria Falls. After the tour around 11:00am you can have lunch at the restaurants in town or be transferred back to the hotel.
Refresh, have lunch and wait for your transfer to the Jetty site for the Helicopter Flight over the Falls. The day will end with an exciting evening at the Boma Dinner where you will be entertained by traditional drummers and dancers while enjoying buffet African dinner with lots of braai meat, traditional meals and fresh fruits for dessert. You will be back at your hotel around 9:30pm

Day 5
After breakfast you can partake in some of the thrilling activities Victoria Falls can offer or shop around town or visit the Victoria Falls Bridge for bridge activities or the lookout café for lunch overlooking the gorge and also try out the high wire activities. For a relaxing afternoon you can add an afternoon Game Drive in the Zambezi National Park to your bucket list. This evening you are also free to try different dinner options at your cost.
If you would like to explore more game up close and personal, a visit to the Chobe National Park will add to great game sightings at Hwange National Park. Chobe Day trip includes a game cruise where you look for game on the banks of the river and grazers on the swamps. The Chobe is further explored on a 4×4 Game drive in search of big game and elusive lions.
